Two major value-added resellers servicing the Wall Street market for Sun Microsystems Inc. are under investigation by the UNIX workstation vendor for abuse of its upgrade programs. Sun's inquiries into the business practices of the two VARS -- Can Am Computers Inc. and GNP Computers Inc. -- center around possible violations in their sales of workstations to First Boston Corp. and Morgan Stanley & Co., among others.
