Contel IPC Is Acquired From GTE By Kleinknecht

For the second time this year, Contel IPC has a new owner. The New York-based Kleinknecht Organization has acquired the turret manufacturer from GTE Corp., which bought IPC parent Contel Corp. earlier this year.
The purchase makes Kleinknecht a major player in the turret marketplace. Contel IPC has turret systems installed at an estimated 45,000 trader positions. The company has significant market share in the U.S. and the U.K.
