EBS Lays Off 50 Staffers

LONDON--EBS, a spot interbank FX electronic broker, has laid off around 50 staff, or around 20 percent of the firm's global workforce. The bulk of the cuts are from the firm's development center in New Jersey.

Some cuts have also been made from the firm's global sales force, which lost seven employees, says a spokesperson at EBS in London. This is due to a reorganization that has seen sales groups integrated into a regional sales structure of multi-product sales staff, including EBS Spot, EBS
