Reuters DLA Levies Hefty Fees

LONDON--The latest version of the Reuters Developer's License Agreement (DLA), which governs its relationships with third-party developers, levies hefty "legacy deployment fees" for providers who have offerings for Reuters' TIB Market Data Distribution System (MDDS) and Reuters Triarch 2000 digital data distribution systems, according to industry sources who have seen the document.

These sources say that third-party developers may find the fees onerous but Reuters officials counter that

Only users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
