Insider has learned that the inventive people at Caplin Systems had a special reason for naming their new offering, "Mongoose." The name is in reference to the carnivores immortalized by Kipling’s "Rikki-tikki-tavi," which can kill poisonous snakes, particularly cobras or, in this case, Kobras. Insider will be watching to see if Caplin’s forthcoming Mongoose is immune to the venom that will surely be coming its way.
