ABN Amro, EDS Still Negotiating

NEW YORK--ABN Amro is still in talks with EDS to outsource the IT and market data activities within its wholesale client business, says Carmen Tortorelli, New York-based vice president for the Information Center at the Netherlands-based bank.

Tortorelli says the $1.5 billion, five-year contract will "probably" be signed in mid-November, although she cautions that it could still fall through. She says the bank hopes to outsource 90 percent of its IT staff within that business. However, it has not
