Icap/Bloomberg Deal Bolstered By Merger

LONDON--Intercapital and Garban are set to go public with their wedding plans. And that, sources close to the deal say, will only bolster the significance of Icap's recent deal with Bloomberg to create an electronic broking system for fixed income.

In fact, the broker marriage, which has been rumored for weeks, considerably strengthens Icap's position among global fixed income brokers. As such, its deal to go electronic via Bloomberg has even more significance. Under the terms of the agreement
