Levine Joins ETrade, Chrapaty Moves To New Position

ETrade has brought in Joshua S. Levine, formerly managing director and global head of equities technology of Deutsche Bank as chief information officer to replace Debra Chrapaty. CEO Christos Costakos contention that Levine's new position is a "maintenance role," while Chrapaty will become CEO of ETrade's digital financial media.

It was unclear whether or not Chrapaty's new position involves a demotion. No one at ETrade would comment on Chrapaty's new position.
