Reuters Messaging 5.0 Ready to Roll

LONDON—Reuters, in partnership with Microsoft and AOL, will announce this week the latest version of its free instant messaging (IM) service Reuters Messaging (RM), sources tell DWT.

According to sources familiar with the forthcoming Reuters news, the RM 5.0 offering will allow users to communicate directly with others who use messaging solutions from Microsoft and AOL.

A Reuters source confirms that RM 5.0 targets, in part, small firms that have not been able to afford or support specialized
