Reuters Instinet to Float; Revenues Up 46 Percent

EARNINGS REPORT

LONDON--Reuters will float Instinet, which reported a 46 percent rise in revenues for the third quarter, and has begun the preparatory work for an initial public offering in the US of a minority stake.

Job would not commit to the timing of the flotation but says, "We are taking this seriously and will not let the grass grow under our feet." Sources expect the flotation will take place by the end of this year or, at the very latest, early in 2001. Trading Technology Week has been predicting that
