PROPRIETARY EXECUTION
As expected, Electronic Broking Service and Minex, the rival foreign exchange order-matching services, have agreed in principle to a merger. The two groups signed a memorandum of understanding late last month and the deal will be finalized after regulatory approvals have been received. While buzz about the two competitors' joining forces has cropped up often in the past, more definitive talk that a merger was in the offing emerged in November (TST, Nov. 27, 1995).
