Outsourcing: Look for a Better Fit

I think you have put your finger on a pulse in this article ("Is Your Firm Considering Radical Outsourcing?," TTW, March 17) on what the industry is thinking. Having been involved in a few of these myself, I think one important lesson that executives always forget (which they remember after these deals go sour) is that they should be looking to outsource to people who can be in sync at an intellectual level with the sophistication of the business and technology that is being outsourced to them.
