Citicorp Buys Superserver For Derivative Applications

Citicorp has purchased a Cray Research Inc. so-called Superserver 6400 (CS6400) system to support its banking subsidiary's global derivatives business. The CS6400 system will be integrated with Citi's existing network of Sun Microsystems Inc.' workstations to run derivatives trading applications and manage their associated database. The system will be installed at Citicorp's data center in New York City later this summer.
