FIXML Gets Ready For Pilot Stages

NEW YORK--The FIXML working group unveiled its FIXML specification at the recent US FIX Steering Committee meeting and won a green light to continue with the FIXML pilot project.
The pilot program will likely start with the implementation of a FIXML parser, which would provide the ability to transmit FIXML markup language to the body of a regular FIX message, says John Goeller, vice president of connectivity at Salomon Smith Barney and chair of the FIXML working group.
He says the initial focus
