FIX Committees' Latest Meeting Points Way To New Structure

NEW YORK--The buy side and sell side members of the Financial Information Exchange steering committees decided on Monday to create a formal, global structure to oversee the protocol's progress. The new set-up was approved at a videoconference between members of the FIX committees for the US and the UK.
The idea was first officially proposed at a meeting held in Jersey City, New Jersey, three weeks ago.
The new arrangement will supersede the FIX committees' existing structure of distinct regional
