BRIEF TRANSMISSIONS

BRIEF TRANSMISSIONS

Clarification: As part of last issue's story on ABN Amro building a new trading room in Singapore, D&IS omitted the salient fact that the bank will be using IBM's Advanced Connectivity System in combination with a specially designed ABN Amro cable. The special cable consists of eight SFTP cables and one blowduct, enabling fibre lines to be run to desktops in the future. Each position will have two of these cables, providing a total of 16 connection points per desk.
