IT Contractors Leaving the UK In Droves Because of IR35

LONDON--Twenty-four percent of IT contractors are in the process of leaving the UK to find work overseas, while 18 percent have left contracting to find permanent work, coinciding with the introduction of the controversial IR35 legislation, says a survey by UK-based Silicon.com.

IR35 is aimed at closing what the UK Labour government sees as a loophole used by IT contractors to reduce tax and National Insurance payments.
