Optimark Volumes Down, 14% Of The Workforce Is Out

NEW YORK--The scaled-back pilot program to have Optimark act as a facility of the Nasdaq Stock Market may not have been scaled back enough. Optimark president Phillip Riese says that Optimark has been again plagued by continued low volume and announced that they were not ready to move beyond the ten Nasdaq stocks currently handled until January. IT snafus have kept Optimark in this ten-stock holding pattern.
