IBM Opens Linux Centers for London, NYC

LONDON--IBM is seeking to underline its commitment to open standards with the opening of a new center in London dedicated to aiding and promoting the development and deployment of Linux by financial services firms.

The center, which cost $1 million to set up and is located at IBM’s main building on the South Bank in central London, will host hardware, software and services provided by IBM and other vendors including Red Hat, Intel, Morse, Computacenter, ADP Wilco, Veritas and Oracle.
