At Latest Globex Meeting: CME, Reuters Put Squeeze On CBOT
PROPRIETARY EXECUTION
The Globex partners took their feud to New York earlier this month, but were unable to kiss and make up. Instead, Reuters and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange threatened to cut the Chicago Board of Trade out of the project unless the CBOT would comply with a list of demands. The meeting came at the end of a month in which the three Globex partners continued sniping at one another (TST, Nov. 29), both in the press and in a variety of other public and semi-public forums.
