The Monster Mashup

The argument can be made that Web 2.0's glitzy new technologies help further democratize the Internet. But I'm starting to think-and please don't read any geo-political philosophy into this statement-that too much democracy can be a dangerous thing.

I'm not too concerned about wikis being used as a local knowledge base. What truly worries me is the introduction and adoption of mashups-Web applications pulling contents from multiple sources.

At this point, most of us have seen mashups in action
