Launch of Deutsche Börse’s midpoint dark pool delayed
The exchange group faces a roadblock as it awaits a reference price waiver from its regulator.
As WatersTechnology first reported in March, European exchange Deutsche Börse is developing a central midpoint dark pool, Xetra Midpoint. The launch, which was scheduled for November 25, has been delayed due to a regulatory hang up.
Deutsche Börse is waiting for the Hessian Exchange Supervisory Authority to issue a reference price waiver to the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, part of a wider EU regulatory process. A new launch date has not yet been set. Representatives for the company did not comment
