In previous years, Liquidnet has also won in the best agency broker and best crossing network categories. With the support of TP Icap, Liquidnet will look to improve its equity trading solutions by combining quantitative analytics, insightful models and innovative algorithms. We’ll check back in a year to see how it’s going. 

WHAT’S NEW

Liquidnet was acquired by TP Icap earlier this year. 

The company made upgrades to its tech stack, including its FIX gateways, matching engine, and messaging bus, thus allowing for improved performance. 

Select US Liquidnet algo strategies accessing Single Dealer Platforms in response to significant increase in retail volume.  

Liquidnet launched Trading at Last (TaL) in EMEA and the US, offering dark trading for European and US stocks at the official stock closing price after the closing auction on the primary exchange.

It recently announced the hiring of Anthony Victor, senior execution consultant for the Americas. 

WHAT’S TO COME 

The company will continue to invest in its differentiated analytics and algo suite.

It has plans to expand its program trading capabilities.

It will also roll out systematic and customizable solutions designed to protect and empower trader alpha generation.  

Liquidnet will also enhance its close algorithms to target the shift of trading to the close.
