WHY THEY WON

It’s not surprising that the best market data provider was also thought to be the best reference data provider by voters in our survey—it’s the yin and yang of financial data. Bloomberg is taking this award home for the third year running.

WHAT’S NEW

Bloomberg has launched Data License Plus (DL+) as a managed service that makes it easier for organizations to access their Bloomberg Data License datasets.

Bloomberg has built new data offerings and enhanced its reference data to meet the needs of clients managing the shift from global IBORs to new risk-free rates (RFRs)  Bloomberg increased its Futures & Options product offering, which now includes bitcoin futures, negative strike oil options in the US, and additional contracts traded in China and Brazil.

The company has recently onboarded more than 20 exchanges for straight through processing. Bloomberg now offers a broad security master for listed derivatives in the market covering more than 150 exchanges.

WHAT’S TO COME 

Bloomberg aims to continue to expand its Futures & Options coverage as well as provide customers with straight through processing of exchange data, expand its asset class coverage for Corporate Actions and build a notification services for new issues.
