WatersTechnology’s recent virtual Innovation Exchange connected industry participants with experts to discuss the future of data and technology across the capital markets. In collaboration with SIX, attendees were asked a series of questions to generate a snapshot of the industry and understand evolving market trends.
The survey reveals that capital markets firms are focused on optimizing the benefits arising from the explosion of data and new technologies that have the potential to transform businesses. Data consumption continues to evolve and increase. Market leaders will make the changes required to ensure generating meaningful insights from data is a strategic priority and adjusting data sourcing and internal capabilities accordingly. For firms that see this as a medium-term aspiration requiring technology and data investments, time is running out if they wish to remain competitive and do not want to fall behind.
