LCH Names Daniel Maguire as CEO
Clearinghouse COO steps up to CEO position as Suneel Bakhshi takes on LSEG chairman's role.
Maguire was appointed LCH Group COO in April this year, as well as holding the role of global head of rates and foreign-exchange (FX) derivatives since March 2014. He will also become a member of London Stock Exchange Group’s executive committee, reporting to Xavier Rolet, LSEG CEO.
“Daniel brings extensive experience to the role, having been part of the senior management team leading the growth of our global OTC clearing services, delivering innovative solutions in an environment of LCH’s focus on best-in-class risk management and operational resiliency,” said Lex Hoogduin, chairman of LCH Group, in a statement.
Commenting on his new role, Maguire said: “The role of the clearing house has never been more relevant, helping to reduce risk and improve operational efficiency in financial markets, and I look forward to working with members and their clients as we continue to grow the Group’s global business.”
Bakhshi, who announced in summer this year his intention to step down as CEO after four years at the LCH helm, will take on the role of chairman for LSEG International Advisory Groups.
