Buy-Side Mergers Hinge on Data Management, Information Flows
Business agility and awareness of a firm’s shortcomings are key, says Janus Henderson exec.
That’s the view of Paul Algreen, CIO at Janus Henderson Investors, which recently underwent its own merger of equals in May 2017, when Janus Capital Group and Henderson Global Investors merged to form an asset manager with over $330 billion under management. Algreen believes the lessons learned from that experience have applications across the buy side. That becomes important, he said, because of the sheer number of mergers and acquisition activity on the buy side at present.
