State Street: Industry More Open to ESG Factors, But Challenges Remain
State Street research indicates that lack of transparent, standardized and quality data is the biggest obstacle to broad integration of ESG factors. Joanne Faulkner analyses the results.
CAR surveyed 582 institutional investors worldwide—split equally between asset owners and asset managers—who have implemented or were planning to implement ESG investing into their process, along with more than 700 retail investors, to take the pulse of how investors view ESG. Respondents at institutions included analysts, portfolio managers and chief investment officers.
