Deutsche Bank has appointed Philip Milne as chief technology officer (CTO) for innovation, while Elly Hardwick also joins as head of innovation.
Milne, who joined the bank in November, will act as a link between the Deutsche Bank Labs and the bank's wider technology organization. Milne has previous experience across the technology sector in London and Silicon Valley, as well as having previously served as global CTO at UK-based investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort.
As head of innovation, Hardwick will lead the bank's innovation activities and manage Deutsche Bank Labs globally. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, she was global head of strategy, investment and advisory at Thomson Reuters and CEO of Credit Benchmark.
"Close collaboration with the innovation community is a priority for Deutsche Bank," said Kim Hammonds, group chief operating officer at Deutsche Bank, in a statement. "These appointments will help accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies to enhance our service to clients and internal processes."
