Scotiabank's Zerbs: Biggest Legacy Pain in Middle Tier

Michael Zerbs, co-head of information technology at Toronto's Scotiabank, is certainly not alone in his endeavor to streamline the bank's system. The Canadian bank's CEO, Brian Porter, said at a shareholder meeting in April the bank wants 80 percent of its transactions and 40 to 50 percent of its sales to be digital by 2020.

Zerbs, who was profiled along with fellow Scotiabank co-head of IT, Kyle McNamara, for the August 2015 issue of Waters, says Porter's promise is a "significant increase"
