Morningstar Buys InvestSoft to Boost Bond Analytics

The acquisition was driven by customer demand for "more robust" fixed income analytics capabilities, Morningstar officials say.

Morningstar will integrate InvestSoft's BondPro fixed income calculation engine─which provides more than 130 analytical and accounting calculations─and other capabilities into its own products, and will rebrand InvestSoft under Morningstar.
