National Bank of Canada Taps TickSmith

The bank is using TickSmith's TickVault program to cope with volumes of quote and trade data that were exceeding the limits of traditional technologies.

According to National Bank of Canada officials, storing and working with increasing volumes of historical trade and quote data was becoming "problematic" for the bank's Global Equity Derivatives Group, which is a market-maker in stocks, exchange-traded funds, futures and options.
