Major UK Fund Managers Team on Blockchain

According to the Financial Times, five large fund managers are partnering to explore the benefits of blockchain technology.

The article says that the firms are "in the early stages" of research, but they are exploring it for "trading illiquid securities directly with each other. The aim is to speed up how quickly ownership of illiquid securities can be moved from one asset manager to another, a process that can currently take several days."
