Update: Moscow Exchange Promises New Failover Process Following Third Data Glitch in Three Weeks
The exchange will add equipment to monitor its infrastructure for future data interruptions.
In the latest incident, a load balancer on the exchange's network infrastructure failed to operate properly, causing an interruption in data distribution between 12:28pm and 12:32pm Moscow time on Monday, June 29. The exchange switched market operations to its backup system─which functioned properly─within 15 seconds, as per its backup procedures, though it may have taken customers between 30 seconds and four minutes to switch to the backup system, during which time they would not have had
