Future Could Hold Worldwide Adoption of Fatca-Type Regulations

As Fatca passes its one year anniversary, some believe other regulators could follow suit.

And while there was plenty of noise around the regulation initially, most governments have signed intergovernmental agreements (IGA) that will allow them to meet Fatca requirements and provide the necessary information.

But what about those countries developing similar regulations of their own that would allow them to tax their own residents that have foreign accounts? A few experts at the Toronto Financial Information Summit 2015 seem to think that's where things are headed.
