Thomson Reuters Hopes to Strike Gold by Adding GFMS Mine Data to Eikon
Historically, Thomson Reuters provided a database of gold mine information on Eikon, but expanded its coverage in 2011 by acquiring GFMS. Since then, the vendor has added GFMS' proprietary supply and demand data on the metals markets, and has now added in-depth data on production, costs and operational information for more than 350 gold mines and projects around the world.
The data is compiled by a team of Thomson Reuters analysts who specialize in fundamental research for the precious metals
