UTP Votes to Adopt Nasdaq SIP Recommendations

Nasdaq technical glitch hits Apple Facebook and Microsoft
Nasdaq will now have to implement the agreed recommendations before its existing contract to run the Tape C SIP expires

Last month, it emerged that Nasdaq would not renew its contract to run the Securities Information Processor (SIP) that collects Tape C data, and calculates and distributes a best bid and offer to the market, after the UTP Committee failed to respond to quickly enough to calls from Nasdaq to approve 10 recommendations designed to improve the SIP's operational resiliency, disaster recovery capabilities and governance (IMD, Jan. 16).
