Nasdaq Opens Test Centers Ahead of March Datafeeds Migration
Nasdaq's new feeds will go live on Monday, March 17, when its TotalView-ITCH FPGA hardware-accelerated feed will undergo a hot (i.e. immediate) cutover, while all of the exchange's other feeds will run the new and old versions in parallel for six months, before retiring the legacy versions after market close on Friday, Sept. 26.
Nasdaq has warned feed subscribers that bandwidth requirements will increase by around 10 percent as a result of average message sizes on the new feeds being 10 percent larger than their predecessors, and that the new feeds will not be available at the Carteret datacenter for the two weeks prior to their live launch.
