BM&F CTO Castro Moves to Interactive Brokers Brazil

Brazilian exchange BM&FBovespa's former CTO Marcio Castro recently left the exchange to join Interactive Brokers last month as director of operations, responsible for all front-office, back-office and finance functions at the firm's Brazil office in São Paulo.

As CTO at BM&FBovespa, Castro oversaw the implementation of a completely new exchange matching system based on CME Group's Globex trading platform, prior to which he held various senior IT roles at the exchange, including IT officer for trading and market data systems, and CIO at the Brazilian Mercantile and Futures Exchange before its merger with Bovespa.
