CME Readies FTL Messaging, Gives KVH Network Nod

CME Group is to deploy Tibco’s FTL low-latency messaging layer into its trading infrastructure, where several months of testing showed that FTL—which takes 3.5 nanoseconds to process messages in a single server, or 3.4 microseconds to send messages between servers—provided “very low” roundtrip message times, officials say.
