Nasdaq Revamps GIDS for Index Expansion

Nasdaq will launch a new version of its Global Index Data Service next year based on its Inet trading platform, that will provide a faster and more scalable architecture for the creation and distribution of new indexes, to support plans to expand the exchange’s index business globally.

The exchange is now preparing to migrate the indexes currently distributed over GIDS—which includes Nasdaq’s proprietary indexes and other indexes from third-party partners such as Russell Investments, Wilshire
