UBS Joins Chi-X Consortium

UBS AG becomes the sixth member of the Chi-X Global minority consortium.

UBS AG has acquired an equity stake in alternative trading systems (ATSs) operator Chi-X Global Holdings LLC, in an undisclosed deal.

The firm joins a consortium of five financial institutions who recently acquired minority holdings in the company, including Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Getco LLC, QuantLab Group LP, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. Instinet Incorporated remains the largest equity holder through a subsidiary.
