Senior Data Executives Come Together in San Francisco for WFIC

A view of downtown San Francisco

More than 400 financial information professionals have gathered in San Francisco for the World Financial Information Conference, organized by industry association FISD.

The event started today with a speed networking session and welcome reception. Over the next three days delegates, which mainly represent exchanges, data vendors, software companies and user firms, will discuss topics such as regulation and legal entity identification.

These themes were already mentioned in today's forum as well, with several referring to the overwhelming regulatory environment.

Firms are running a growing number of regulation-driven projects, and implementation of the legal entity identification is expected to be a key activity next year.
