Bank of America Launches High-Speed Trading Platform

The new BAML trading platform offers sub-10 microsecond latency.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) has announced a new ultra low-latency trading platform, designed specifically to aid compliance with new regulation.

BAML Express, originally developed by Thesys Technologies, will offer sub-10 microsecond latency, connects to all major US equity exchanges. Risk controls required by recent SEC rules are embedded into the platform, according to BofAML.

CME: CFTC OKs clearing move to Google Cloud

The CFTC has given the Chicago-based exchange approval to run its clearing and settlement infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform, while the exchange and vendor have extended their partnership to last until at least 2037.
