Eccleston Outlines Structure of S&P Spinoff

Lou Eccleston, president of Standard & Poor’s spin-off McGraw-Hill Financial, has unveiled the structure and management team that will lead the new business, and his plans to leverage the data management capabilities of its Capital IQ unit across the new entity.

S&P decided to separate its data and investment services business from its rating agency last November (IMD, Nov. 22, 2010). Initially dubbed McGraw-Hill Financial—though Eccleston says the vendor is currently involved in a branding
