RBS to Centralize Ref Data with SmartCo
It plans to use the platform, called SmartCo DataHub, to centralize and manage securities reference data and end-of-day prices for all divisions. The initative is aimed at helping RBS reduce ref data consumption, improve data quality and straight-through processing. The actual implementation took 16 weeks. The first part of the project was focused on fixed-income instruments, and this is the area where the system is now live.
