DEALING ROOM SYSTEMS
Westpac Banking Corp.--the world's last major proponent of IBM's OS/2 operating environment in the dealing room--is now leaning heavily towards deploying Microsoft's Windows NT on dealers' desktops worldwide. While a migration to NT from OS/2 is not yet set in stone, the bank's current stance represents substantial progress in a major dealing room systems architecture rethink kicked off about three months ago.
