New York Stock Exchange Aims To Get FIXed In Early 2000

NEW YORK--The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to purchase a FIX engine and plans to install one early next year.

The NYSE's decision to get FIX-compliant is an important indicator of just how far FIX has come. The exchange has always relied on CMS, its own proprietary language. But times are changing.
