Rumours are flying that Deutsche Bank will continue to trim costs from IT operations next year by outsourcing the former Bankers Trust data centers to IBM. Deutsche will start with data centers in New York, then move to London, says a source. Eventually he expects the big bank to outsource its data centers also, again first in the US and then overseas. Deutsche Bank has no comment but says to be prepared for more news in the year 2000.
