FIX Protocol Ltd. Releases FIX 4.3, Supports More Financial Instruments

NEW YORK--The FIX 4.3 specification was released Friday, Aug. 24, with a number of improvements and alterations, mostly to handle more financial instruments.
The new version includes dual syntax for the standard tag-equals-value FIX grammar and for XML-based FIXML. It also features support for fixed income and collective investment vehicles (such as mutual funds and unit trusts) and additional support for derivatives, swaps and multi-leg instrument orders.
